General Information
Sampling
-
Sampling is especially important for analysing mycotoxin. The customer is responsible for a representative sampling procedure.
Of course we see it as our duty to offer consultancy on this matter. Two aspects need to be considered during sampling: the low concentrations at
which mycotoxins occur and are active as well as the inhomogeneous distribution and the formation of so called "hot spots" by the mycotoxin producing fungi.
For these reasons it is important to pay special attention to sampling and homogenization.
-
In the case of mycotoxins with existing regulatory limits sampling and homogenization procedures are explained in the commission regulation (EC Commission Regulation 401/2006/EC).
We will be happy to send you a copy on request.

In case of not grinded material a representative sample of approx. 2kg should be submitted. In case of grinded material approx. 1kg is sufficient.
